Fourth Annual Webcomic Secret Santa

The fourth annual Webcomic Secret Santa is open for submissions.

Most underused Forum yet

Wow, this is a really underused forum.

Anyway, I'm looking for an archive system for webcomics that has most of the following (I figure none will have all of the stuff I want, so I'm looking for whichever comes closest ;)):
* Allows comics to be put online well ahead of their to be published date (I can dream that I'll use this can't I? ;))
* Handles news being posted.
* Archives news beneath the strip (e.g. Real Life Comics does that).
* Keeps the most recent news on the index page, even if something hasn't been posted for that day, but doesn't archive the latest news under every day that doesn't have a news item. (e.g. Real Life comics does what I DON'T want).
* Automatically updates an RSS feed.
* Allows comics to be grouped into storylines.
* Has a calender archive (e.g. PvP).
* Can handle multiple comics that have completely different skins and pages (Over the holidays I'd like to post a "short story" webcomic and I might want to post it a page a day for a month, so I want that functionality ;)). However it creates seperate feeds for seperate comics.
* Can have comments posted beneath each day's comics (will show up in archive).

The closest I've gotten to that is Wordpress, but I'm having trouble with it so while I'm getting help I thought I'd look at other software. I'm expecting a lot of those points won't be included, so whatever gets closest will do me :) Also, can anyone provide pros or cons for Moveable Type vs Wordpress? On the one hand I'm having problems with Wordpress, on the other hand, the Moveable Type website is down.

Oh, and no WCN suggestions. Yeah, I know about it. When I can afford to pay for a host it will be very tempting.

Seven Seas to publish Chugworth Academy, Earthsong and Inverloch

Publisher Seven Seas Entertainment has announced that they will be publishing the webcomics Chugworth Academy Earthsong and Inverloch in print.

Seven Seas appears to be a pretty young publisher aimed at mangaesque titles. They also seem fairly online savvy with both webcomics featured on their site and free psp downloads of some of their titles.
