Zap! Pow Blog! event on this weekend
Submitted by Gary Chaloner on January 11, 2007 - 00:49
As part of the exhibition programme for Heroes & Villains: Australian Comics and their Creators, the State Library of Victoria (SLV) in Melbourne, Australia, is staging a unique online event.
Zap! Pow Blog! is a live 'blog' event being held online between Friday 12 January 2007 - Sunday 14 January 2007. This will be a great chance for fans to 'meet' some of the best and brightest names in Australian comics, past and present - and promises to be a unique event in the history of Australian comics. This three-day event will feature some of Australia's best-known comic creators, who will post their own personal blog on the SLV website, discussing their works as featured in the Heroes and Villains exhibition, as well their broader life and work in Australian comics.

Will Eisner's JOHN LAW now DAILY!
Submitted by Gary Chaloner on May 12, 2006 - 22:25
I've decided to launch the daily LAW series before the ModernTales relaunch. So be sure to check out the two places where you can read the entire free archive, plus new material that's been posted there over the last week:
At the new Crossroads Crime Comics site:

or at
The Crossroads site will also feature remastered golden-age adventures of two other Eisner characters that feature in my new stories: LADY LUCK and MR. MYSTIC. These will be updated as I can, as I'm coloring them as well.
Blogs... what are they good for?

Well, this is really just a quick note to test this baby out and see what the new Comixpedia has to offer. The blog feature is an interesting thing. I'm having a tough time deciding whether to shut down my own blog at chaloner.blogspot.com and simply start using this blog here at Comixpedia... or use the TalkAboutComics blog. I can't go around posting on a million blogs, so I'm looking for the most effective audience reacher... I s'pose.
