Google-links ranking of webcomics

I spent a couple of idle hours manually checking the number of links (according to Google) for every comic in T Campbell's "Unreliable Webcomics Survey", and ranking them in order.

Jesus and Mo hit 200

Much to the surprise of its author, Jesus and Mo has reached its 200th web strip:

Jesus and Mo » Archive » toxic

(Warning: do not visit if you are offended by disrespectful and/or ill-drawn representations of holy men)

That's almost 2 years of fatwa-free irreligious cartooning - and the boys still haven't changed their facial expressions!

What better way to celebrate than to flash a bit of arse-crack?

Jesus and Mo published in Danish newspaper

It is perhaps a sign of how far we have come since the infamous Danish Mohammed cartoon crisis that the Danish daily newspaper Information has today published three strips from Jesus and Mo in its print edition: danny, good, and badge (though only "good" appears on the website).

Jesus and Mo speak Dutch

An episode Jesus and Mo has been translated into Dutch and will appear in the February issue of De Vrijdenker, the Netherlands-based freethinkers' magazine which is published ten times per year. The strip appears free of charge under a Creative Commons licence.

Jesus and Mo in The Philosophers' Magazine

Jesus and Mo is the subject of a half-page article in The Philosophers' Magazine this month. This was largely due to the fact that back in June Jesus was shown reading TPM in bed with Mo.

The article is illustrated with the first panel of the abovementioned strip ("good"), minus the character of Mo, who is cropped out for safety reasons. It describes Jesus and Mo as a "popular and controversial comic strip", and carries a long quote by the author.

Hall of Best Knowledge

I haven't seen anything here about the wonderful webcomic Hall of Best Knowledge, hosted on Flickr, so I thought I'd let you in on the secret.

The author is a designer/artist by the name of Ray Fenwick. The strip, alas now ended after 69 marvelous episodes, appeared in The Coast Weekly - and will, I hope, be made into a book.

100 Episodes of Jesus and Mo

Jesus and Mo (don't click on that link if you are a religiously - or graphically! - sensitive type), the only webcomic known to be banned in Pakistan, has reached the 100 strip landmark.
