artists needed for middle school textbook-comics pages

Small educational publisher needs artists to draw comic pages-2-4 panels, 2-3 characters per page. This is a literacy text for kids struggling with reading. Text and art direction supplied. Drawings must be tasteful, age appropriate (for kids age 9-14), and sensitive to all ethnic groups. Characters are both humans and animals. Need simple, uncluttered, but interesting and engaging styles.
Will look at black and white, but colored illustrations preferred. This project is on the fast track. Book will go to press in January. Commissions will be awarded asap in November. This is a nationwide curriculum, your work would be widely seen. A small signature on the page is permitted, and full credit will be given in the back of the book.

Samples without page rates will not be considered. This is an all rights, work for hire situation. No licensing or royalties. Artists with a proven track record for delivering on time will be given priority!
