ANNNNNNNNNND that's a wrap! Sort of. I still need to collect mailing addresses and so on and so forth.

Thanks to all who participated -- it was a blast! I hope tihs has breathed new life and direction into the FN concept and we can just head upward and onward from here on out!

This contest was a really fun exercise, and I'm very glad I participated in it. Seeing so many different artists' interpretations of the seven panels was a blast! And everyone took their panel in a unique direction.

Since I'm still a relative newcomer to webcomics, it means a lot to me to be selected as one of the seven winners, because I finally feel like I belong in this medium.

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to experiment!

bah- as soon as I saw Michael Lalonde was on the list of contributors I knew he'd win on eof the prizes...I'm just glad that my comic wasn't in direct competition with his.

I'm curious - how many (if any) late entries did you get Matt?

Also, if the same sort of contest is done next year, I'd suggest making the random selection process not quite so "random", so that all the starter panels get used an equal amount.

That said, it was a lot of fun, and I hope next year will be just as great!

got Fudda? Welcome to Deathworld.

We got ... I'm at work so my stats might be a bit off ... eight late entries, I think, one of those with permission due to a mess-up on my part in sending a panel off.

I'll address the participation rate and randomization method in another post...

And NO one said anything about MY entry... which makes me the true loner of the event, it seems...

I thought your comic was very amusing, Damonk.
It's a good thing more door-to-door salesmen don't act like that!

Matt here -- Yoinks! I've been very remiss in creating new forums for each strip, which was bad of me. I think the lack of comments was mostly due to your appearing on a weekend, Damonk, and the consequent lack of forum traffic on that day.

Yours and Michael Lalonde's were my girlfriend's favourites, actually. And she's got a mean eye for talent (and a mean right hook, but that's another story.)

Heh. Thanks, guys. I wasn;t fishing for compliments, though I was all slightly bummed for being the only one that didn't have a thread started about his comic originally (i know that later one, less threads were being made and all) -- i guess to me at the time, it felt like that meant my stuff just wasn't as good as everyone else's.

Heh. Ever since I've been separated from my wife and forced to survive in the wilds of Ottawa all alone, I find that I've gotten a lot more insecure about stuff that never used to bother me at all before. I'll have to work on that.

Sorry for that whiny first comment! O_o

Everyone's entries this year really impressed the hell out of me!

I really enjoyed this years project. Lots of good entries - more variety than in recent years. While the old crossover comics were certainly fun this setup produced some really good comics.

I can't believe I forgot to enter myself!! :D

Congrats to all the winners (heck, kudos to all participants - those were some nice comics) and thanks for letting me take part. I'm definitely looking forward to participating next year.
