The ecosystem also "scrapes" data for hits/pages from sites that use the "hitcounter" which is a free stats service I guess a lot of blogs use. A lot of webcomics use it or the "extreme" counter. Anyhow in addition to ranking blogs by links in, it also has a list that uses this hits/pages data.
Can be front-end-monkey (am typical standards-obsessed, ALA-reading, ORA/New-Riders-buying, CSS/XHTML-conversant, multiple-browser-platform-combination-running, Jakob-Nielsen-and-Jeffrey-Zeldman-groupie sort who dreams and thinks with everything in semantically pure tags). Can be anal-retentive. Can test stuff. Can offer acerbic, useless commentary. Can run to close-knit community of people with actual skills for emergency bashing on crap.
Can be reached at comixpedia @ rosebitch dot org (or ironmouse dot org if there's some sort of objection to the cussing). Can take mailing list mail. Can start sentences with more than one word. Can hyphenate.
I'm looking at the ecosystem ranking by page views not inbound links.
Maybe I'm missing something, but how does this work again...
And could you explain it in basic HTML terms? Advanced technology scares me. :wink:
