The FLOOR Creates Own 3-d Interactive Environment for Readers

As of Nov. 9th, 2006, The FLOOR by Eric Lindgren will offer its visitors a little something different to view a comic in. Instead of a standard page. The readers can click on, and move around in an actual 3-d environment including a currently developing Office Zone store! Although all of the store is not fully created, the enviroment is active and showing the latest cartoon within the Office Zone store itself. Readers are encouraged to either use their arrow buttons or their left mouse button to move about in the online world.

Additionally, the latest strip (53rd) starts a new year's worth of cartooning for the weekly strip.

The strip's creator states, "I figured, what better way to celebrate the successful completion of one year's worth of The FLOOR than to actually create the world the cartoon strip appears in for my readers to knock about and have fun in?"

The 3-d feature, although available throughout most of The FLOOR's current venues, will remain a fixed feature at only two sites in the long run for the forseeable future. Those sites will be www.comicdish.com and www.thespacepirates.com .

Hrmm... for the first time

Hrmm... for the first time I got to see this in action on a dialup machine. I had to wait FOREVER it seemed for all the components to load up. I managed to get it going in IE and MSN. The earlier version of Netscape ignored it. It really seems to work best with faster services of cable, dsl and perhaps satellite. It seems Firefox will have absolutely nothing to do with it at all! HA!

A perverse joke on myself as that seems to be what most of my visitors are using. Never-the-less... I will take it off the main pages and put up an invitation link for those who wish to use it. I have plenty of space, so why not, heh?

Couldn't get it to work

Can't see it either, I'm afraid, either in IE or Firefox.
