Vera Brosgol and Others Take Flight

CBR has an overview and previews of the new Flight anthology coming in July. Published by Image Comics, the anthology features the work of a group of artists under the Flight Comics banner.

One of the stories available in CBR’s preview is “I wish…” by Vera Brosgol, creator of Return to Sender (reviewed by Comixpedia last year).

The roster of artists included in the Flight anthology are: Bengal, Bill Mudron, Catia Chien, Clio Chiang, Chris Appelhans, Derek Kirk Kim, Dylan Meconis, Enrico Casarosa, Erika Moen, Hope Larson, Jake Parker, Jen Wang, Joel Carroll, Kazu Kibuishi, Kean Soo, Khang Le, Neil Babra, Philip Craven, Rad Sechrist and Vera Brosgol.

  1. Don’t you mean “Pants Press and others take flight”?? Since you’re reviewed Bill’s, Clio’s, and Dylan’s comics as well and all three have done more work in comics than Vera Brosgol. All the pants pressers have webcomics, and there are some others on that list that have them as well. To single out Vera is a little suspicious. I’d think DKK would be the headliner here.

  2. The submitter wasn’t referring to the whole “Flight” anthology; the article linked above contains previews of several of the comics in the anthology, and “one of the stories available in CBR’s preview is “I wish…” by Vera Brosgol.” Of the rest of the Pants Press crew, only Clio’s work is likewise previewed; however, they didn’t include the whole story as they did with Vera’s, only a piece of artwork.

  3. What Ben said. When the whole Flight anthology comes out I’m sure Comixpedia will give a lot of attention to the whole thing. At least I hope we do.
